BarneyCatBarney came to us in 2002 after being found in Dr. Brownlee's barn – thus, the name. Her ear-tips are missing because of frostbite. Barney is our resident senior at the clinic, and she has special needs. She has been treated for hyperthyroidism with I131, has kidney failure, high blood pressure and suspected lymphoma. You may notice her at the front desk at times craving attention from everyone up front. Feel free to oblige her! |

Chou ChouCatChou Chou was found on the side of the road on December 23rd, 2009 and brought to the Humane Society by a kind hearted stranger. She was 12 weeks old and paralyzed in her back legs, she was brought to us for x-rays to determine if her back had been broken. She was in no pain and was the sweetest little kitten, we determined that she had no fractures but had serious spinal cord damage. Dr. Brownlee took her home to care for her and learned she was a capable little cat who could even get up and down stairs pulling herself with her front legs. She shares her time between GAVC during the week and the Brownlee family's house on the weekends. She is adored by everyone she meets and spreads her love with visits to seniors at a local nursing home. |
